Business Meeting in Detroit to Promote Shiga’ s Tea and Sweets

　Warm greetings from Shiga Prefecture, the State of Michigan’s Sister-State in Japan for 50 years!
　滋賀県から心をこめてご案内を申し上げます。滋賀県は、日本におけるミシガン州の姉妹都市として50年を迎えました。
　
　Perhaps you may be familiar with the famous Omi beef and Omi rice, both from Shiga. But, Shiga is also known for its tea production. Moreover, Shiga has many delicious sweets that made use of local materials. The climate and land in the region are well-suited for growing high quality tea and ingredients.
　おそらく皆様は有名な近江牛や近江米に親しまれていると思いますが、それらは滋賀県産です。しかし、滋賀県は茶の産地としても知られています。また、滋賀県には地元の素材を生かした美味しいお菓子もたくさんあります。この地域の気候と土地は、高級な茶と食材の栽培に最適なのです。
　
　On October 24th, representatives from 3 Shiga companies will be in Detroit to showcase their products to the local food industry. We invite you to join us to learn more about Shiga's tea and sweets. Taste and compare!
